Draft day for developers: instead of chasing one “superstar tool,” this keynote shows how SAP Business Technology Platform’s full roster—clean-core extensions, integrations, events, data/knowledge graphs, and enterprise-grade AI—wins real games together. SAP TechEd's Developer Keynote makes the case that SAP BTP is built to win as a team. You’ll see how extensions stay clean and cloud-ready, how integrations create smooth hand-offs across SAP and non-SAP systems, and how events connect your landscape without brittle glue. We start with SAP HANA Cloud’s Knowledge Graph: natural-language questions are turned into SPARQL behind the scenes to discover who’s demoing what – no manual query writing required. From there, the action shifts into AI-assisted development in VS Code and SAP Business Application Studio. Using SAP AI Core and SAP-delivered MCP servers, an assistant plans and generates a CAP service and a freestyle UI5 app, grounded in the actual data model. Next is an event-driven onboarding flow. A new hire in SAP SuccessFactors emits events through SAP Cloud Application Event Hub to a custom CAP app and SAP Build Process Automation, with no heavy integration work, so downstream apps react instantly. We then hand the ball to a browser-driving agent (LangGraph + Playwright MCP) that runs an SAP tutorial end-to-end and produces actionable feedback when the instructions lag behind new features. The keynote also extends SAP Joule. With low-code skills and a purpose-built agent in SAP Build Studio, Joule fetches process data, approves tasks, calculates relocation costs, and even drafts emails – decoupled from any one backend so all developers can use it. On the ABAP side, embedded ML powers in-flow product recommendations, and the ABAP AI SDK pulls concise product reviews. Finally, Review Booklet analytics are generated straight from ADT queries for quick multi-page slicing and dicing. We close with ABAP in VS Code – create, activate, debug – living right beside CAP and UI5 for a unified, open developer experience. It’s a full roster that doesn’t just play the game; it changes it.
